Background

I inherited my interest in homes from my grandfather, who built homes and movie theaters, and my father, who was trained as an architect. As a child I was always fascinated with architecture and architectural styles. Over time, though, I grew even more fascinated with the people who bought, sold and lived in those homes -- so you can imagine how much I love what I do today!

Expertise Matters

Isn’t it amazing that in all the years or schooling we go through we never learn anything about how to buy or sell a home? It’s a huge step in our lives, and yet we make grievous mistakes because we rely on our emotional response to the property or pay too much attention to the price tag instead of the home’s actual or potential value.

That’s why you need a skilled real estate professional who can keep you on track and on mission so you get the best transaction for your future needs. I don’t fall into the emotional traps. I’m not afraid, for instance, to tell you when you need to remodel that living room you loved so much before it will sell for the right price. And I won’t let you succumb to impulse buying, either. I’ll make sure you see the property’s pros and cons so you can make a balanced decision.

I’ve been on all possible angles of the real estate process. Before moving into real estate sales, I worked in the mortgage industry in 3 different states, eventually owning my own mortgage companies. I have originated, underwritten and processed mortgage loans. I currently hold a real estate sale agent license with SFR (Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource) and EPro designations, and at one time I also held a title license, issuing title products in 38 states. I know how every link in the chain affects you, the homeowner – and that means I can look out for your best interests.

The Networking Advantage

I’ve also always been interested in making connections with others. When I lived in Denver, Colorado I served as the “Welcome Wagon Lady,” greeting newcomers to the area, helping them get acclimated, and advising on them on the local climate, entertainment, outdoor activities, job scene and so on. I also held a Board position on the Chamber of Commerce for the fastest-growing residential country in the U.S. three years running. So when I came to Austin many years ago I brought my “Welcome Wagon” attitude and Chamber experience with me, and now I perform those roles for my family of clients. Many of them are new to the Austin area, while others just know they can always count on Linda for the latest scoop on what’s fun, profitable or essential to know in this town.

I hope you’ll come to count on me, too. If you think we might make a good combination, feel free to contact me and let’s talk about it.
